We the people of Calvin Presbyterian Church reaffirm our faith and pray that God may use us as his instruments to ‘continue the caring of Jesus’
Worship:
We affirm the importance of public worship and strong, effective preaching at Calvin Church. It is our goal to increase overall attendance at church services and other church activities and provide opportunities for additional and alternative forms of worship and Christian education.
Pastoring in/to our Church Community:
We reaffirm our pastoral ministry to the Calvin Church community through crisis visitation by our minister, and through our Pastoral Care Coordinator and Pastoral Care Team. It is our goal to expand this ministry through increased visitations to members and adherents who are prevented by illness or disability to attend church and to provide additional training to pastoral care volunteers and others interested in becoming involved as volunteers.
Ministry to Our North Bay Community:
We affirm our outreach ministry to the local community through financial partnerships with local agencies and voluntary hands-on involvement by our members. It is our goal to attempt to expand this ministry over the next few years.
Nurturing spiritual/theological growth for children, youth and adults:
We reaffirm the ministry of Christian Education to all ages in the church community through a program of Church School for children, a youth group, and ad hoc programs for adults. It is our goal to expand our programs so that all members and adherents participate. We envision expanding education programs in reformed Christian faith to welcome persons from outside our church community.
Our Ministry Beyond North Bay:
We reaffirm Calvin’s ministry beyond North Bay through contributions to Presbyterians Sharing and Presbyterian World Service and Development (PWS&D). It is our objective to continue support for PWS&D and Presbyterians Sharing and to consider support for additional outreach activities.
